Last night on Letterman he confirmed it: Drew Carey is the next host of the Price is Right. Our take is that they should have let this show go with Bob Barker and his retirement. After all, it wouldn’t be all that difficult to find a new daytime game show and shit, CBS could still have Drew Carey host it. He’s going to be hosting two game shows simultaneously for them anyway.

Drew talks about the money and schedule in this clip, and you have to wonder what they’re paying him since they were giving Bob $10 million a year… but I digress.

What are your thoughts? Drew Carey is going to be a great replacement, or should they just have let the show pass on into TV hall-of-fame history?
