It seems like Britney Spears’ PR campaign for her new album is working. The only issue we see is that it’s making her out to be a trailer trash, lowlife drug addict alcoholic parent that hates the fact she has kids.

First, the Rag is reporting that she’s been taking Ecstasy to get high and Ativan to bring her back down:

The source revealed: “It was one of Britney’s friends saying he’d seen Britney take four Ecstasy pills in the bedroom of a Hollywood Hills home during a party on August 11.

“Lynne was also told that Britney has done the drug more recently – and she’s taken Ativan, an anti-anxiety medication, to help her come down because the Ecstasy was so intense. Lynne put down the phone and froze.”

Well, whatever. I know parents that do E from time to time, although 4 caps of it is a little excessive. You’d think someone with Britney’s kind of money and connections could get some pure, intense, melt your fucking socks E that would top you off around a cap or two.

It also seems that Brit has found some helpers to push her PR along. Joey Fatone either wants to help out or wants to pull Brit’s hair as he’s invited her to his place in Miami to chill out a bit. Check it:

Joey told US TV channel Extra: “Britney, call me, come over to my house, come to Orlando, get away from it all. It’s a good thing to get out of Los Angeles.

“I think she just needs some time, some time to really heal. If you’re there, let me know. I’m here for you, sweetheart.”

BRITNEY! Fuck that dude, come on up to Canada. We’ll get you on a BC weed program and you’ll be relaxed and mellowed out before you know it. Plus you’ll have Mr. Downity to provide you with some “therapy”.

Decline of the Stoned Peacock – parts II and III

As we mentioned in this post yesterday – NBC is without question being run by a bunch of clowns that are high on marijuana, pissing away the company without regard for anyone. Especially you, the viewer. So today, we have parts two and three of the Decline of the Stoned Peacock:

Isaiah Washington – whom you may recall was punted from ABC for calling someone a faggot (oh boo hoo!!) – was just today signed to a starring role by, you guessed it, NBC. Check it:

“We believe in second chances,” said David Eick, executive producer NBC’s upcoming Bionic Woman, which has hired Washington for five episodes.

Speaking to reporters at the annual Television Critics Association meeting in Beverly Hills, Eick rejected the suggestion that hiring Washington was an affront to gays and lesbians. The actor had been let go from ABC’s Grey’s after a firestorm over his use of a gay slur.

“We embrace the gay community,” said Eick, “and hope they will watch.”

What a stupid thing to say. That’s like hiring Mel Gibson and saying that you embrace the sober and jewish communities. I’m not against Isaiah Washington (don’t get me started on vocabulary usage in a derogatory fashion you bunch of jellybean dishrags) because I frankly don’t give a shit who or if he called a faggot. But this Eick moron is coming off as offensive to said communities. He should have just said

“None of us were around when this so-called ‘incident’ happened with Isaiah,” said Eick, “and neither were any of our viewers, or really anyone else but Isaiah and the ‘f-word guy’. So basically you can all stop pretending to be offended, sit down, and enjoy the new show.”

Good call, buddy. I’m with you.

In an effort to make up for the whole thing, however, NBC has decided to hire a gay man’s former songmate to host a singing contest called “The Singing Bee“. I seriously can’t make this shit up fast enough to defeat the big bong hitter that is Ben Silverman:

New NBC executive Ben Silverman is quickly putting his stamp on the network’s fall schedule, juggling the lineup announced to advertisers in May and making room for the summer series “The Singing Bee.”

Changes were announced for three nights, with “The Singing Bee” starting a fall run Sept. 25, Silverman said Monday.

The singing contest hosted by Joey Fatone (’N Sync, “Dancing with the Stars”) had been scheduled to air later in the year after the run of game show “1 vs. 100,” which now is bumped to midseason.

NBC: you’re fucked. I know you have the munchies, so just head out to 7-11 and for the love of TV SOMEONE PLEASE GET RID OF THIS SILVERMAN SHITHEAD!
