Looks like Jessica Alba can get a little ruthless when she’s sucking your face. In a steamy kissing scene from their new movie Good Luck Chuck, Alba and co-star Dane Cook both managed to chip a tooth. From Contact:

JESSICA ALBA has lost her perfectly sexy look after chipping a tooth during a kissing scene in her new movie. The actress admits she and Good Luck Chuck co-star Dane Cook went too far with one energetic love scene and they both needed dentistry work. She explains, “I chipped my front tooth doing a kiss with Dane and he chipped his bottom tooth. “We were doing this comedic Mr + Mrs Smith love scene, and we were slamming into walls and breaking things and tumbling over couches and stuff. ”

At one point, he slammed my head into a picture frame and, while my head was smacking into the wall and breaking the picture, his teeth slammed into my teeth. “Now I have a bond on my tooth and when I take it off I look like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber.” But Alba insists she won’t be rushing to get the problem permanently fixed: “I can definitely take the bond off of my tooth and throw people off a bit. I get to take this thing off and be somebody else for a little while. It’s like a disguise.”

Ok guys, admit it. You’d totally take a chipped tooth to get your shit on with Jessica Alba. Jess… call me. We can talk.

After a long ass wait, the new Indiana Jones flick has officially been titled: “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. Check it:

Forget about “Indiana Jones and the City of Gods” or even “Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds,” two of the potential names registered by producers Lucasfilm Ltd. The next movie featuring the two-fisted adventurer will be called “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

Actor Shia LaBeouf, who has been cast to play Jones’ son in the film, blurted out the title on stage at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards — only to have the news overshadowed by two former husbands of Pamela Anderson scuffling with each other and Britney Spears dancing barely clothed on stage.

But Lucasfilm, which is producing the fourth Harrison Ford-starring installment of the Indiana Jones series, was quick to confirm the new title on Monday.

We’ll reserve judgment until we see some trailers, screens, etc. of this flick. The name sounds good enough.

Check out the awesome trailer for the upcoming CGI flick Beowulf. If you’re into the fantasy genre then this looks like it might be a decent movie.

Of course, even if it blows it still has Angelina Jolie in some CGI nude scenes; I mean shit, what kind of nerd wet dream is that?

This is one of the press shots from the summer 2008 WWII flick Valkyrie, which is about the July Plot of German officials to assassinate Hitler. Here’s the synopsis:

During World War II, the German Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is severely wounded in Africa and returns home to Nazi Germany. Stauffenberg joins the German Resistance and plans Operation Valkyrie, a plot that would assassinate Germany’s Nazi Führer Adolf Hitler and replace him with a shadow government. Stauffenberg finds himself taking on not only the responsibility of leading the coup, but also the task to assassinate Hitler himself.

Needless to say, the dude fails. Loser. Hitler crushed the resistance, arrested over 5000 people and executed over 200. Kind of like what would have happened if Luke missed with those torpedoes. But he didn’t.

If you saw the original AVP and you thought it sucked/lacked a plot/lacked enough humans dying/etc. then look no further than the above trailer for Aliens Vs. Predator 2 – Requiem.

This trailer looks absolutely badass and is everything that the original should have been. Enough people die in the trailer alone to show that this movie is a total bloodbath. Finally, AVP done right: drop them both on Earth and let them waste the shit out of each other, with feeble humanity caught in the middle and struggling to fend both sides off. Awesome!

Hollywood is looking at a $4 billion dollar summer, thanks to an expected 600 million tickets being sold. No shit, check it out:

“We will certainly surpass $4 billion and probably be around $4.1 billion. I also think we will be at 600 million tickets sold, which we haven’t seen in a few years,” said Paul Dergarabedian, head of ticket sales tracker Media By Numbers.

So far, domestic ticket sales stand at around $3.83 billion, up some 10 percent from last year and 5 percent ahead of the pace for 2004′s record summer of $3.95 billion.

Admissions are 559 million, up 5 percent from last year, according to Media By Numbers.

This is a lesson to the music industry. I can download every new release movie the same day that it shows up in theatres with relative ease – as can anyone else with broadband in North America (just like music). On top of that, I can upload it to an iPod or other portable device and enjoy it (just like music). And on top of THAT, your $10 for a movie is a one-time-use, unlike a CD which can be played a bazillion times. YET we’re choosing to go to watch movies in theaters in droves. WHY? Because it’s a superior product delivered at a good value.

So. Movie ticket sales are skyrocketing – even though we can download the movies as easily as we can music – yet CD sales are stagnant. There has to be a reason…? Maybe it’s the fact that CDs are a terrible value. It’s up to you to figure it out, Mr. Dinosaur Industry, but surely you can see that YOU and not US are the cause of your crappy sales numbers. Stop blaming downloading as it’s not the culprit. It’s your shitty, outdated, boring ass product.

So many of us have fond memories of Ferris, Cameron, Sloan, Mr. Peterson and the rest of the crew that comprised Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – arguably one of the greatest 80s movies you can find. Well, it looks like 80s sequel madness is catching up to Ferris as a second installment is scripted and being shopped around Hollywood. From TB:

Titled “Ferris Bueller 2: Another Day Off,” the movie places Ferris on the eve of his 40th birthday. The script was written by Rick Rapier, a screenwriter based in Arizona. Rapier provided “Stuck in the ’80s” with an exclusive and complete copy of the 106-page script.

Is it good? I thought it was a blast. I read it in a single afternoon and was impressed with the care Rapier took with the original story and characters. The story has the same feel, humor and pace as the 1986 movie, which should please hard-core Ferris fans.

The movie fast-forwards Ferris’ life about 20 years. In the years since high school, Ferris has turned his carefree “Life Moves Pretty Fast” motto into a motivational self-help career — think Tony Robbins, only with a beret and sweater vest. His best friend Cameron is still at his side, managing his massive business.

But despite his phenomenal success, Ferris is a bit distracted on his 40th birthday (which, considering his massive fame, is being watched on pay-per-view TV by millions of devoted fans). He decides to take the day off, sending Cameron, his business associates and family into a frenzy.

Rapier says he hopes John Hughes would direct the movie and all the actors would return to reprise their original roles, including Matthew Broderick (“Ferris), Alan Ruck (“Cameron”) and Jeffrey Jones (“Ed Rooney”). And what are the characters all up to now?

• Ferris’ sister Jeannie (Jennifer Grey) is married to the boy she met in the police station (Charlie Sheen).
• No longer a school administrator, Rooney is still stalking Ferris for revenge.
• The economics teacher played by Ben Stein now is an airline gate representative.
• Ferris’ girlfriend Sloane Peterson (Mia Sara) is a Hollywood star going through a rough marriage.

Can the movie be made? Right now, that’s completely up to Hollywood. Rapier says several players in the movie business have read the script, with various reactions. One executive who passed on the script said he didn’t like the idea that Ferris was profiting from his persona, Rapier said.

We’re not entirely sure how we feel about the sacred ground that is Ferris Bueller’s legacy being treaded upon. Matthew Broderick hasn’t really had a good role since then (Godzilla, anyone?), Jeffrey Jones is a registered sex offender after being convicted on child porn charges, and Alan Ruck is set to star in some piece of crap Star Trek movie coming out next year.

Hollywood: If you make this movie, it had better kick all fucking ass. Because if it sucks, prepare for a backlash like you’ve never seen. FROM ME

Get off of your ass tonight and get out and see Superbad, Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen’s (apparently) hilarious high-school comedy starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera.

It’s got a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes so you know it’s good. Otherwise the critics would have slayed it.

Superbad is going to clean up at the box office this weekend, and you should be there. We will be!

Today brings confirmation that Jessica Biel is now contractually obligated to show off her tits and ass in her upcoming flick Powder Blue! This is fantastic news, as many of us are itching (it burns!!) to see her in the buff. From NYP:

SHE’S been shy about bearing her bod every since her racy Gear magazine spread hit stands in 2000, but Jessica Biel plans to shed her threads in the upcoming movie “Powder Blue,” which co-stars Forest Whitaker. Us Weekly reports that she’ll play a “stripper trying to earn money to raise her terminally ill son,” and audiences will get an eyeful. Biel “signed a contract that explicitly details the bare minimum fans will see – including shots of her breasts and butt,” a source dished to the glossy.

Coming in Spring 2008 we have Jim Carrey and Steve Carell voicing the main characters in Dr. Seuss’ classic tale Horton Hears a Who.

In case you had a totally shitty childhood or you were too immersed in Tintin books to read any Dr. Seuss, the story is basically about an elephant that comes into contact with a microscopic community who he begins having conversations with. Of course, everyone around him refuses to believe that they exist, so comedy ensues.

Hopefully this doesn’t turn out to be a colossal shitbomb because I’m looking forward to seeing it. Nothing like Dr. Seuss tales come to life. Well, there was that total debacle with The Cat in the Hat but I do recall hearing that at least kids liked it.
