Tera Patrick had a fantastic magazine spread in Ralph Magazine this month, so we figured what better time to fill you in on all of the details behind the 31 year-old porn starlet. Here’s the wiki:

Patrick was born in Great Falls, Montana to an English Jewish father and Thai mother; her parents had originally met in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. While Tera was young, her mother moved back to Thailand to live permanently, and her father moved with her to San Francisco, California and raised her there himself.

Early career

Patrick was discovered in San Francisco by a talent scout for the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency, and at the age of 13 she was signed to a contract to be a model. She moved to New York City shortly thereafter and her career as a runway and catalog model began. At 18, she left the world of modeling and enrolled at Boise State University where she received her associate’s (two year) degree in nursing and a BS in Microbiology. She then transferred to University of California, Santa Barbara, where for financial reasons she began modeling again.

Pornography career

In the late 1990s, Patrick transitioned to appearing in nude and soft-core features. In 2000, she made the transition to hard-core porn in Andrew Blake’s Aroused. Since that time, she has become one of the most popular and recognized porn stars in the world, having graced the pages of Playboy and Penthouse, where she was the “Pet of the Month” for February 2000 and was selected as “Pet of the Year” runner-up, as well as having appeared in more than seventy adult features. Patrick is noted for her sultry voice and her aroused and enthusiastic portrayals of sex. Because of this, she has won several awards from the adult-movie business organizations. Today, she hosts the popular webcast The Tera Patrick Show and she is active in the adult film community, raising money for both the Free Speech Coalition and A.I.M Healthcare.

In an interview with the Adult Film Database in February of 2007, Patrick stated she will only continue to work in front of the camera for two more years, but plans on releasing her starring adult titles over the next decade. The March 2007 DVD release, ‘inTERActive’ set the record as the fastest selling Hustler release ever.

Racial controversy

Patrick caused a small controversy in her pornography career over her choice to do nearly every subgenre except interracial whether it was a man or a woman. She stated that even though she had no problem with anyone due to their race, she considered doing interracial porn to be “detrimental to her career”.

We’re not even going to get started on the whole interracial thing. Tera can show love to whomever she wants, and frankly we’d prefer it to be us. Check out that body… damn!

Well it’s Sunday and you know what that means… time for church! And while those suckers are all off doing whatever it is they do in those creepy old buildings, you and I can enjoy another round of Pornstar Sundays, this week featuring Catalina Cruz.

Fresh off a redesign and pumped to continue to bring you the finest in… well, whatever the hell we feel like, downity.com’s making up for missing Pornstar Sunday with this week’s feature: Crissy Moran. For those of you out there that don’t know the names of the girls you’re regularly watching in those late-night flicks, here’s the wiki:

Crissy Moran (born December 22, 1975, in San Diego, California) is a former American pornographic actress. In October 2006 she announced that she had become a Christian and was leaving the “adult” business. Best known for photo spreads on the web, although she has also done some pornographic movies, she has been featured in major magazines such as Hustler.

She has stated on her MySpace page that she is living in Los Angeles, has found employment outside the porn industry and is getting legal advice on how to reclaim her photos so she can have her adult web sites removed.

British singer Darren Hayman’s 2005 song “Crissy M” from his Cortinaland album is a lamentation about her career in the porn industry. He observes that she looks bored and unenthusiastic about her work “because her heart’s not in it and never really was. She’s not a dirty slut.”

Well we’re 5/7ths of the way through the downity.com launch of a new daily feature every day, and today we’re doing our part in educating you on the porn starlets that (if you’re anything like us) you see on a very regular basis.

This week we’re happy to kick off Pornstar Sundays with none other than Jenna Haze, multi-award winner and all sorts of delicious. Here’s the details on our gal:

Jenna Haze (born Jennifer Corrales on February 22, 1982, in Fullerton, California, USA) is an American pornographic actress.

Haze grew up mainly in La Habra, California, though she also spent time in Lancaster, California, and Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. She is of mixed Spanish, German, and Irish descent.

Haze grew up the youngest of four in a single parent household. She first experienced vaginal intercourse with a boy at the age of 14, saying “I had just been dumped by this guy who broke up with me because I wouldn�t put out. Her contract with Jill Kelly Productions was not renewed in April 2005, and by June she announced she was happy to be independent once again and would likely return to performing in boy/girl in addition to lesbian scenes.
