What the fuck is with today? Pre-Fourth-of-July media releases or something? Looks like Johnny Knoxville (or Philip Clapp, whichever you prefer) is finally headed to divorce court with his wife Melanie of 12 years:

The Jackass impresario filed for divorce Tuesday from wife Melanie Lynn Clapp after nearly 12 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup.

Knoxville, whose real name is listed in court documents as Philip John Clapp, is seeking joint custody of the couple’s 11-year-old daughter, Madison, according to the petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by E! Online.

Apparently they’ve been separated for a year already and are just now getting around to finalizing it legally. Which makes sense to me, I mean shit why would you bother to actually divorce your husband or wife after you separate? Why do it now after a year, why not just go on separated and still married forever? Think of it… every person you hooked up with would be an “affair”!

Then again once I get married I’m sure I’ll be a divorce waiting to happen. That is if I can even stay focused long enough to get married in the first place.
